1. Who we are
Durham Dales Giveaways is operated by Enterprize Ventures Ltd, registered in England and Wales. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). For anything in this policy, contact hello@durhamdalesgiveaways.co.uk.
2. What we collect
When you enter a competition: your name, email address, phone number, billing/postal address, your chosen ticket numbers, your answer to the competition question, and your order history.
When you enter by post: the details on your postcard, including your date of birth.
When you pay: payments are processed by our payment provider, Cashflows. We do not see or store your full card details.
When you join our mailing list: your email address, managed through our email provider, Brevo.
When you contact us: your message and contact details.
When you visit the site: technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed, via cookies and similar technologies (see section 7).
3. Why we use it
- To run the competitions: taking entries, allocating tickets, contacting winners, delivering prizes (performance of a contract)
- To verify age and identity where needed, and to apply spending caps and self-exclusion requests (legal obligation and legitimate interests)
- To send order confirmations and service emails (performance of a contract)
- To send marketing emails, only if you’ve signed up, and every email includes an unsubscribe link (consent)
- To publish winner details, first name, town and ticket number, as set out in our T&Cs (legitimate interests)
- To keep records for tax and accounting (legal obligation)
- To prevent fraud and misuse of our competitions (legitimate interests)
4. Who we share it with
We share data only with the services that make the business run: payment processor, email mailer software, our website host, and delivery companies when sending prizes. We share information with authorities where the law requires. We never sell your data.
5. How long we keep it
Order and entry records are kept for 6 years for tax and legal purposes. Mailing list data is kept until you unsubscribe. Postal entries are kept until the competition is concluded and any queries resolved, then securely destroyed. Self-exclusion records are kept for as long as needed to honour the exclusion.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal data, object to processing, or ask for a copy in a portable format. Email hello@durhamdalesgiveaways.co.uk and we’ll respond within one month. You can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk if you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data.
7. Cookies
Our site uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, such as keeping your basket and login working. [If you use analytics or advertising pixels, e.g. Meta Pixel for your Facebook ads, add: We also use (name the tools) to understand site usage and measure advertising.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page.
