1. The competitions
1.1 We operate prize competitions. Entry requires the correct answer to a question requiring skill, judgement or knowledge. A free entry route is available (clause 4). Our competitions are not lotteries or gambling and no gambling licence is required.
1.2 Each competition page sets out the prize, entry price, maximum number of entries, closing date and draw date. Those details form part of these terms.

1.4 These competitions are operated by Enterprize Ventures Ltd (company number 17332244), a company registered in England and Wales, whose registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ trading as Durham Dales Giveaways.
2. Who can enter
2.1 Entrants must be 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom. We may require proof of age, identity and address before releasing a prize, and a prize may be withheld until satisfactory proof is provided.
2.2 Employees of the promoter and members of their household may not enter.
2.3 We may refuse or cancel entries and refund payment where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, including bulk, automated or fraudulent entries.
3. How to enter (paid)
3.1 Select your competition and tickets, answer the question, and complete checkout. Your ticket numbers are confirmed by email once payment clears.
3.2 If you answer the question incorrectly, your entry will not be included in the draw and your ticket numbers will be void. No refund is given for incorrect answers. The answer is not revealed until the competition closes.
3.3 Maximum entries per person per competition stated on each competition.
3.4 Payment by credit card is limited to £250 per person per calendar month across all our competitions.
4. Free postal entry
4.1 Each competition may be entered free by post. Send an unenclosed postcard including the competition name, your answer to the question, and your full name, date of birth, email address, phone number and postal address to

4.2 One entry per postcard, each posted separately. Postal entries must be received before the closing date. Incomplete, illegible or late entries will not be entered.
4.3 Valid postal entries are allocated the next available ticket number and have the same chance of winning as paid entries.
5. Closing dates and the draw
5.1 Competitions close at the date and time on the competition page. The draw takes place on the advertised date regardless of how many tickets have been sold. We do not extend competitions.
5.2 The winner is selected at random from all valid entries using RNG Random Number Generator via live video stream. Where a competition includes instant win tickets, these are stated on the competition page and won by the entrant who purchases the specified ticket number.
6. Winners and prizes
6.1 We will contact the winner using the order details within 7 days of the draw. If we cannot reach the winner after reasonable attempts over 14 days, we may draw an alternative winner.
6.2 The winner’s first name, town and winning ticket number will be published on our website and social channels. We may ask for a photo for publicity, which is voluntary and subject to consent.
6.3 Prizes are as described on the competition page. Where a cash alternative is stated, the winner may choose it. Prizes are not otherwise exchangeable or transferable.
6.4 Prizes are delivered free within the UK within 28 days of winner confirmation. We aim for next day delivery if possible.
6.5 Site credit prizes
Some prizes are awarded as site credit. Site credit is added to the winner’s account and can be used against any purchase on this website.
Site credit has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash, in whole or in part. It is personal to the winner and cannot be transferred, sold or given to another person. It cannot be used in conjunction with a cash alternative.
Site credit expires twelve months from the date it is added to the account. Any unused balance is forfeited at that point. We will notify you by email before credit expires.
An account is required to hold and spend site credit. If an account is closed, any remaining credit is lost.
7. Cancellations and refunds
7.1 Once you submit an answer and complete checkout, your entry is entered into the competition and the legal right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations no longer applies.
7.2 We will refund entries where a competition is cancelled by us, or where required by law. Refunds are made to the original payment method.
8. Liability
8.1 Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
8.2 Subject to 8.1, our total liability to any entrant is limited to the amount paid by that entrant for the relevant competition. We are not liable for postal delays, network failures, or events outside our reasonable control.
9. Your information
9.1 We process personal data in line with our Privacy Policy. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
10. Fair play and conduct
10.1 We may void entries and exclude entrants who abuse the competitions, our staff or other entrants, or attempt to manipulate a draw.

11. General
11.1 If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in force.
11.2 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
11.3 We may update these terms; the version on the site at the time of your entry applies to that entry.
